WATFORD fans who paid more than £20 for a ticket to Saturday’s trip to Southampton will receive money back courtesy of a partnership between the Saints’ shirt sponsor Virgin Media and the Football Supporters’ Federation.
Visiting supporters’ tickets from every Premier League club travelling to St Mary’s during the 2016/17 season will be subsidised so that no away fan pays more than £20.
Watford fans who bought a £30 adult ticket will be able to collect a £10 refund on the day, while those who bought a concession ticket will also be repaid the difference if applicable, so that’s a £7 refund for Over-65s and £2 for 18-21-year-olds.
Refunds will be available for collection on the day at St Mary’s Stadium only, from staff wearing Virgin Media livery. Supporters are advised to arrive at the stadium as early as possible to avoid queues ahead of kick-off.
