It appears Phil Neville jumped the gun Friday when he posted a picture of Everton forward Romelu Lukaku supposedly wearing a Manchester United shirt.

The former Everton and United player seemingly got a hold of the unverified picture and proceeded to congratulate the Belgian striker on his move to Old Trafford.

The post on Neville’s Instagram account read: “Left one great club and joined another @rlukaku9 congratulations”

Several of Neville’s followers were quick to point out that the photo appears to have been Photoshopped, with many of them speculating that the photo is of United defender Eric Bailly with Lukaku’s head superimposed.

While there’s been no official word from either club, all signs point to Lukaku joining United in the coming days in a transfer expected to cost £75 million.
